CNC-Machined Steel Tensioner Arm
A rigid, precision-machined steel arm prevents tensioner fork flex and misalignment, significantly reducing premature chain skate wear.
Bronze Pivot Bushing
A precision-machined bronze bushing restores worn chaincase pivots while providing a much more durable bearing surface than the factory design, preventing future wear.
Hardened Steel Pivot Pin
The OEM retaining bolt has been replaced with a hardened steel pin secured by a spiral retaining ring. This design eliminates the common problem of bolts loosening over time while providing a much stronger and more reliable pivot.
Anti-Vibration Spring-Loaded Adjustment System
The integrated spring-loaded adjustment piston maintains proper chain clearance while making chain tension adjustments quick, simple, and repeatable.

Compatibility
The PEFI Chain Skate is sold separately and is recommended for the ultimate chaincase reliability package.
Note: The OEM chain roller is not compatible with the PEFI Heavy-Duty Tensioner.
Chain Tension Adjustment
- Tighten the adjustment bolt by hand until it bottoms against the tensioner.
- Back the bolt out one full turn.
- Hold the adjustment bolt in position and tighten the lock nut.
This procedure provides the proper chain clearance while allowing the spring-loaded tensioner to operate exactly as designed.
