Clutch Calibration
To achieve the full performance potential of Stage 2, the Precision EFI Adjustable Clutch Ramp Kit is required.
Recommended Starting Setup
- Target RPM: 8,000–8,100 RPM
- Precision EFI Adjustable Ramp Kit: SKI-900R-CLUTCH-RAMP-69G
- Starting Weight: 74.9 g total
- Apply Blue or Purple Loctite to all adjustment screws.
- As a starting point, position the adjustment screws so the heads sit flush with the top of the ramp (heel position).
Fine-Tuning
Perform a full-throttle acceleration while progressively applying the throttle to minimize track spin.
Once engine RPM stabilizes:
- If RPM exceeds 8,100, add weight.
- If RPM is below 8,000, remove weight.
Snow conditions, temperature, elevation, and track traction all influence clutch RPM, so minor adjustments may be required for optimum performance.
