Precision EFI Stage 5 Turbo Upgrade
The Ultimate Trail Turbo System for the 998 Turbo
The Precision EFI Stage 5 Turbo Upgrade is the culmination of years of development, testing, and refinement. Engineered specifically for riders who demand uncompromising performance, it is our highest-performing trail package and one of the most advanced bolt-on turbo systems available for the 998 Turbo platform.
Unlike race-only turbo systems that sacrifice drivability, the Stage 5 delivers instant throttle response, exceptional low-end torque, and virtually zero perceptible turbo lag, creating a riding experience that feels effortless in every situation—from tight trails to wide-open lake runs.
Producing up to 350 horsepower on 91-octane pump fuel, the Stage 5 completely transforms your sled while maintaining the reliability and rideability Precision EFI is known for.
Built for the Trail
Raw horsepower means very little if the sled is difficult to ride.
That's why every aspect of the Stage 5 was developed around usable power.
The upgraded turbocharger builds boost extremely quickly, producing explosive acceleration from low RPM while continuing to pull hard throughout the entire powerband.
Whether you're overtaking another sled, climbing long grades, or launching from a dead stop, the power delivery is immediate, smooth, and incredibly addictive.
Multi-Map Technology
The Stage 5 includes our exclusive dashboard-controlled Multi-Map ECU calibration, allowing you to instantly change performance levels directly from the factory handlebar controls.
For long-distance trail rides, simply select Economy Mode.
Designed specifically for extended rides, this calibration provides excellent fuel economy while still delivering substantially more horsepower and torque than the factory ECU.
When it's time to unleash the full potential of the Stage 5, simply switch to one of the higher performance maps.
No laptop.
No reflashing.
Just select your desired power level and ride.
Bolt-On Installation
The Precision EFI Stage 5 Turbocharger is designed as a true bolt-on upgrade.
The turbo installs in the factory location using the original mounting hardware, requiring no cutting, welding, or chassis modifications.
Available Power Levels
High-strength cylinder head studs are mandatory for every performance level included with the Stage 5 package.
| Mode | Boost Pressure | Fuel | Approx. Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| Economy | 18 PSI | 91 Octane Pump Gas | 300 HP |
| Stage 1 | 20 PSI | 91 Octane Pump Gas | 325 HP |
| Stage 2 | 22 PSI | 91 Octane Pump Gas | 350 HP |
| Stage 3 | 24 PSI | C16 Race Fuel | 375 HP* |
| Stage 4 | 26 PSI | C16 Race Fuel | 400 HP* |
Full Race Mode is reserved for competition applications and should not be selected on trail sleds.

Clutch Calibration Required
To achieve the advertised performance, adjustable primary clutch weights are required.
Maintaining the correct engine RPM is critical for maximizing acceleration, belt life, and horsepower.
The settings below are intended as a starting point for sleds equipped with a stock spring and helix in good condition. Final calibration may vary depending on gearing, altitude, snow conditions, rider weight, and other performance modifications.
Target Engine Speed
Target RPM: 9,100–9,300 RPM
Arctic Cat
TEAM Clutch
- Dalton QA2-76 Adjustable Ramp Kit
- Adjust to 80 grams total
- Apply Purple Loctite to all weight screws.
ADAPT Clutch
- Dalton QA3-65 Adjustable Ramp Kit
- Adjust to 69 grams total
- Apply Purple Loctite to all weight screws.
Yamaha
For best results, a performance spring and helix kit is strongly recommended.
Primary Clutch
- Dalton DTYA1 Adjustable Ramp Kit (74.5 g)
- Adjust to 79.5 grams total
- Apply Purple Loctite to all weight screws.
For most applications, the adjustment screw should be positioned with the head flush with the top of the heel pocket, providing an excellent baseline calibration.
Fine-Tuning Procedure
Perform a full-throttle acceleration while applying power progressively to minimize track spin. Once the engine RPM stabilizes, record the maximum RPM.
- RPM above target: Add clutch weight.
- RPM below target: Remove clutch weight.
Keep in mind that snow conditions, temperature, elevation, and track traction all affect clutch performance and may require slight adjustments to maintain the target RPM.
