UPGRADED INTERCOOLER
This state of the art intercooler was developed and manufactured in house to deliver the maximum cooling capacity possible. It is the biggest drop-in intercooler that can fit into the unmodified body of your sled.
Keeping intake air temperatures low has two key benefits:
1. On long stretches at wide open throttle with reflashed ECU's (stage 1 and above) the ECU will throttle power by up to 10HP as the intake air temperature rises to avoid destructive engine knock. This means you are missing out on precious ponies on those top speed runs and also when coming out of corners when driving hard.
2. The all around reduction of intake air temperature, even during 'normal' driving, significantly decreases thermal stress on the pistons. This increases their life span and overall reliability while keeping performance levels at their maximum throughout the engine's life.
As usual, these are made of the highest quality materials and are expertly welded in house.
