STAGE 2 – 250 HP
Maximum Trail Performance
Take your Arctic Cat 9000 Series or Yamaha Sidewinder to the next level with the Precision EFI Stage 2 – 250 HP calibration.
Developed for riders who demand exceptional acceleration and relentless trail performance, the Stage 2 increases engine output by 50 horsepower over stock while maintaining the reliability and drivability Precision EFI is known for.
By increasing boost pressure and optimizing ignition timing, fuel delivery, and throttle mapping, the Stage 2 delivers explosive acceleration, instant throttle response, and impressive mid-range and top-end power.
Designed for Free-Flow Exhaust Systems
The Stage 2 calibration is designed to be used with the Precision EFI 2.5" Free-Flow Exhaust System or any quality 2.5-inch free-flow exhaust.
The reduced exhaust backpressure allows the turbocharger to operate more efficiently, producing consistent power and improved engine performance under all riding conditions.
Built to Perform
From hard trail launches to high-speed lake runs, the Stage 2 completely transforms the personality of your snowmobile.
Expect:
- 250 HP on premium pump fuel
- +50 HP over the factory configuration
- Extremely responsive throttle
- Massive mid-range acceleration
- Strong top-end performance
- Smooth and consistent power delivery
- Outstanding trail performance
Once you experience the Stage 2, your sled will never feel stock again.
Precision EFI Knock Protection
Every Precision EFI ECU calibration includes our advanced Knock Protection System, which continuously monitors combustion conditions and allows the ECU to react instantly when necessary to help protect your engine while maximizing performance.
Clutch Calibration Required
Proper clutch calibration is essential to achieve the advertised performance.
The Stage 2 requires adjustable primary clutch ramps (weights) to maintain the engine at its optimum operating range.
Target Engine Speed: 9,000 RPM
Recommended Starting Settings
For a stock primary spring and helix in good condition:
- Target RPM: 9,000 RPM
- TEAM Clutch: Dalton QA2-73 Adjustable Ramp Kit set to a total weight of 74 g (use purple Loctite on the adjustment screws).
-
ADAPT Clutch: OEM clutch ramps.
- A screw head positioned flush with the top of the adjustment hole (heel position) is the most common starting point.
Note: Modified clutch springs, helixes, gearing, track configuration, and riding conditions will affect the final clutch calibration. Because every setup is different, these recommendations should be used as a starting point.
Clutch Tuning Procedure
To obtain the correct clutch calibration:
- Accelerate aggressively while applying the throttle progressively to minimize track slip.
- Allow the engine RPM to stabilize under full load.
- Record the engine RPM.
- If RPM is above 9,000, add clutch weight.
- If RPM is below 9,000, remove clutch weight.
Keep in mind that snow conditions, temperature, elevation, and surface traction all influence engine RPM and may require slight adjustments.
The Precision EFI Stage 2 is the perfect package for riders looking for maximum trail performance, incredible throttle response, and the reliability needed to enjoy long days on the snow.
